Linux is a freeware operating system. This OS is fast and effective. You can download Ubuntu off of the internet. If you dont have internet you can buy it and have it shipped to you for 1-2 $. Ubuntu comes in 32 bit and 64 bit. The 32 bit can handle up to 4 gb of ram. The initial release was October 20, 2004.
BeOS is an operating system that was created by Be inc. BeOS is very rarely used, Be inc. has created Palm which is a very more known Os for palm hand held devices. It runs with 32 bit. It can only run with 1 gb of ram. The average retail price is 69.95.
The Mac OS X is a operating system. It is a superpowered, very simplistic and modern operating system. This system is the 10.1 edition which is also upgradeable. It takes about 1.5 Gb of memory to use. It is very compatible to many games and programs for the Mac PC’s. It is a 64 bit. It is compatible to up to 4 Gb of ram. Its retail selling price is from anywhere from $129 to $299. The release date was December 15th, 2008.

I think this is an invasion to our privacy. Now we have to live our lives with the thought that we might be being watched. For teens who just want to get away from their parents this is a disaster. This is a dream creation for stalkers, pedofiles, and them parents who must know where their children are, at all times.
Facebook is a great creation. It is fun and exciting. But howerever it has its downs. In facebook it is very easy to discriminate others. Others can post pictures of you, without you even knowing. Just recently facebook changed the fineprint declaring that they own the pictures that you post. Due to many complaints facebook has changed the fineprint back…for now.
Images that are posted of me on the interent will always be there for others to view. Even if they are deleted by me, it will still be there somewhere. This really invades my privacy. It is a picture of me, therfore i should decide what happens to it.
I think that people who are going to be intervied should not be searched on the internet. I think this because on the internet it could show many bad things about that person. It is not fair. People should be intervied in person.
What happens when you enter http://www.holycross.bc.ca into the web address field is a long list of requests and travel which happens in about 1 second. As soon as you enter the address into the address bar, it sends a request out to the DNS server for the information of the website your requesting. Somewhere along the line, you also go through your ISP’s server, and eventually you get to the IP address of the website you are requesting. Your request leaves your computer goes through your isp’s DNS, bounces through a bunch of other computers along the way, gets though the requested institutions DNS then goes through a bunch of nodes and in about 1 second you see the information your request. This all occurs in approximatley one second.
Definitions:
DNS: The Domain Name System, is a name system for resources that are participating on the internet. Its primary puprose is to change human domain names into binary. This allows quick access to many sites on the internet because of organization and simplification.
IP Adress: Any computer or other technological device that is publicly connected to the Internet is given a unique number called an IP (Internet Protocol) address. IP addresses contain four groups of numbers that are separated with periods, and each number group can feature number(s) that range anywhere from 0 – 255. An example of an IP address is 1.123.13.231.
Tracert: When computers communicate over the Internet, there are often many connections made along the way. This is because the internet is made up of a network of networks, and two different computers may be on two separate networks in different parts of the world. Therefore, if a computer is to communicate with another system on the Internet, it must send data through a series of small networks, eventually getting to the Internet backbone, and then again traveling to a smaller network where the destination computer resides.

Base 10 Binary is also known as Arabic. Unlike Base 2 binary, which features only 0, and 1, Base 10 has numbers 0-9. Binary is the use of 2, and an exponent. Pretty much like, 2^2=4 2^0=1, etc. Binary is the addition of these 2^’s to make a number. 0 means the 2^ is switched off, 1 means the 2^ is switched on.
For Example:
2^5, 2^4, 2^3, 2^2, 2^1, 2^0

So you see, the 2^3, 2^1, and 2^0 are turned on, while everything else is turned off.
Now you add the 2^’s that are turned on.

Barack uses technology to run McCain’s show. Although the voting was close, Barack won way more electoral votes. Barack used his superior website to his advantage. Obama had ringtones, wallpapers, music, downloads and so much more. Obama’s website was also much cleaner and was more appealing to the eye. It was also easier to navigate from page to page. Obama used to internet to instantly communicate to all his supporters. Barack Obama was the superior man in this election and he used technology to his advantage.

The laser T.V. caught my eye in no time. The T.V. would have better quality than a HDTV at a thrid of the power. The T.V. is basically a projector but better. I believe that this is positive step in the technology world because they reduce energy use and have superior quality.
